Kongsvold Fjeldstue is a historic hotel with its own railway station. Kongsvold lies next to Dovrefjell National Park at 900 m. at the top of Drivdalen. The old shuttle station consists of over 20 well-maintained buildings, and the interiors contain many antiques from several hundred years of mountain lodge operation.
The Pilgiegrimsleden runs through the yard and DNT-marked routes go west to Reinheim and Snøhetta, east to Folldal and south to Hjerkinn, Eysteinskyrkja and Rondane. North of Kongsvold you can walk the Vårstigen and every day in the season guided musk tours are arranged. Registration and payment can be made at Kongsvold.
Kongsvold Fjeldstue has 32 hotel rooms, lounges, a dining room and conference facilities.
Kongsvold Fjeldstue is a traditional hotel with modern comfort. The mountain lodge tradition stretches back to the 12th century, and the oldest buildings we now have date from 1720. Kongsvold has been restored in collaboration with the National Archives and local craftsmen and has 32 rooms with shower and toilet, a modern course room, pleasant lounges and a dining room for 70 guests.
Kongsvold Fjeldstue changes its name as of 15 June to Frich`s Hotel & Spiseri Kongsvold as, and from the same date the operation is taken care of by the Frich`s group - which has several inns and accommodation establishments, from Brumunddal in the south to Oppdalsporten in the north.
