Our accommodation is different from what you would normally find in a conference hotel. Instead of traditional rooms, we offer cozy apartments. They have 2 bedrooms in addition to a bathroom, living room and kitchen. This means that you can have your own bedroom, even if you share the apartment with others. The whole of Ilsetra is like a yard, and all the apartments are located in 4 different buildings that surround the main building.
Ilsetra is built on the foundations of an old seat from the 17th century, and consists of several buildings that form a separate yard. We have used timber, slate and soapstone, and have furnished with a combination of antiques and modern furniture. This gives Ilsetra a completely unique atmosphere - sporty and modern, mixed with good Norwegian tradition.
The restaurant in the main house is divided into two departments - Rødstua and Finstua. On large farms in the old days, it was common to have both a living room and a living room for more special occasions. We have done the same, except that at Ilsetra both are equally pleasant and are used as part of the daily dining.
With the crackling of the fireplace and the smell of birch wood, our pleasant bar area with lounges will invite you to an extra pleasant end to an eventful day
Our outdoor pool maintains a temperature of 28 degrees and is located right outside the hotel.
Next to the pool you will find a separate building, which contains both a steam and dry sauna.
Please note: The pool is closed until December 27th. After this date, the pool will be open depending on the temperature. For safety reasons, the pool will remain closed if the temperature drops below -12°C, based on the “feels like” temperature from the weather forecast due to wind conditions in the mountains.
Opening hours:
The pool: open at 17:00-18:00 every day
The sauna: open at 17:00-19:00 every day.
If you're also ready for a workout, you can - in addition to kilometers of cross-country and cycling trails - use our gym. There are many possibilities for activities in the area. Only the imagination sets the limits. We help you arrange whatever you want.
