The alpine skiing area in Oppdal is legendary. The first ski lift was opened in 1953, and Oppdal is today one of Norway's biggest ski resort.
The skiing network covers four mountains, 40 pistes an 50 kilometres of lovely skiing. Oppdal has been rated among the top ski resorts in Norway for many years.

The tranquillity in the mountains is what you long for. The only sound you will hear is the beating of your own heart and the sound from your skiing poles and skis as you set off down the mountain side. It is all about getting close to the best moments. And that is exactly what you will experience with a pair of cross country skies under your feet. The skies follow the tracks into the mountain – miles and miles with well-prepared skiing tracks.

Oppdal has a total of 180 km of prepared tracks that stretches throughout the entire mountainous municipality. Most of it is connected through a main network with easy accessibility. No matter where you are in Oppdal, you are never far away form a skiing track.
